August 28, 2011 7:00a.m. race start time!
We changed the location this year to Yahr Park located on the Northeastern end of Washington County. The swim will be 1/4 mile with plenty of buoys to guide your way but lots less weeds and muck! Erler Lake is a great swimming lake that does not allow motorized boats. There is a beach entrance to the lake but we will try to use a modified Time Trial Start as we have used in previous years. We heard you when you said you didn't like the chaos of a mass beach start and liked it better where one swimmer enters the water several seconds behind the swimmer in front.
The 15 mile bike course heads out of the park and onto the roads through the Kettle Moraine area. It is a fairly hilly loop with some beautiful views of the countryside.
The 5K run is also on the open road outside the park. It will be an out and back run with water stations along the way!
Fees:
Individuals: $75 from June 30, 2011 through August 18, 2011; $100 from August 19, 2011-August 25, 2011.
Teams: $90.00 from June 30, 2011 through August 18, 2011; $125 from August 19, 2011-August 25, 2011
Participants of the AODA Triathlon can receive a $10.00 discount to compete in the Eisenbahn Marathon/Half Marathon on August 27, 2011. Please contact msimon@councilonaoda.org to receive a coupon code to enter at the time of registration or register for both events and deduct $10 on the paper registratin fee. Triathlon registration will be verified.
There will be no registrations allowed the day of the race. No refunds on registration fees.
