Volunteer Information
There will be a volunteer orientation on Thursday August 18, 2011 at 6:00pm. This will be at the Kettle Moraine YMCA (1111 W. Washington St.) A second orientation will be held on Friday August 26, 2011 at 6:00pm at West Bend Mutual Insurance Company's Prairie Center located at 1900 S. 18th Avenue. At the orientation you will be provided with instructions, water station supplies (if applicable) and your volunteer t-shirt. Please plan on attending one of these orientations and thanks for volunteering!
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for our 2011 Eisenbahn Marathon/Half Marathon! Volunteers are the heart and soul of our Marathon and will receive a T-shirt as a small token of our appreciation.
Following is a list of the types of volunteer jobs available. Depending on your job assignment, volunteers will need to be at their stations between 5:00am and 6:30a.m. and should be done no later then 1:00pm. If you are interested in volunteering please contact Laura Balkevich lbalkevich@kmymca.org. The overall goal as a volunteer for the Marathon is to ensure that the participants have a SAFE and FUN experience!
Course Volunteers: Ensure participants know where they are going and that they are safe. Cheer on participants!
Food: Prepare food for distribution to participants.
Finish Line: Provide water, assist in removing timing chips.
Packet Pick-Up: Assist in providing materials to race registrants and answering their questions (These volunteers are needed for Friday August 27th from 4:00-7:00pm)
